The Booger Fund is excited to announce ten recipients of the Making a Difference Scholarship. This second-year scholarship recognizes student cyclists who are giving back to communities and organizations they care about. Each recipient will receive a $2,000 award intended to support the pursuit of higher education.

“This year represents a diverse group of cyclists that have shown leadership, selflessness, and mentorship to others and their communities.  For the first time we also have individuals that have raced BMX, track, road, MTB, and Cyclocross.” states Steve Westover, Executive Director of the Booger Fund. “It is truly an honor to reward these individuals and support them in their quest for higher education.

The recipients are engaged in trail work, fighting wildland fires, and combating issues of gun violence in their home country. They have not only volunteered thousands of hours but created non-profit organizations themselves and are actively working with youth and helping create leaders of tomorrow. Many of them are building their education and degrees around mission driven pursuits in engineering, science and technology with the aim to better our people and planet.
